Speak Up, Be Heard was founded by Dan and Angela Lemont. They currently reside in Michigan where they take an active interest in raising awareness of health issues.

On October 26, 2004 Angela was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes. Soon after receiving this news she started searching the Internet for diabetes-related items. While there was a multitude of healthcare products, there were very few products which helped with the emotional aspects of the disease. It was at that time that she and her husband, Dan, developed the idea for a line of T-Shirts, Mugs and other merchandise that not only had uplifting messages, but also spread awareness of the disease. Speak Up, Be Heard was born!

The fulfillment they received from making a positive impact led them to think about other important diseases and health issues. Dan, having suffered from Crohn's disease since 1999, saw an opportuntity to provide supportive products for others suffering from Crohn's Disease. Continuing on this train of thought, there were numerous health issues affecting their close family and friends.

Speak Up, Be Heard donates a portion of the profits to related research and non-profit organizations. Not only will the money donated contribute to the development of cures, but by wearing or displaying this merchandise you will increase awareness.
